Mr Barrie Adams PSM, FCPA
Chairman

Barrie was appointed as non-executive chairman in 2008. He holds directorships in Collection House Limited, Ingeus Limited, Steel Foundations Limited and NuPlant Limited.

Barrie is also chair of Financial Basics Foundation and chairs three audit and risk committees.

He is a certified practicing accountant with 38 years experience, including 14 years with the Shell group of companies in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Mr Adams was the Queensland regional commissioner of ASIC (formerly the Australian Securities Commission), since its establishment in 1991 up until 2000. Mr Adams was responsible within Queensland for corporate and securities regulation.

In recognition for his work with ASIC, Mr Adams was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2000.


Darren Steinhardt

Managing Director

Darren is the founder of the Infocus Group. Originally from Brisbane, Darren has an extensive background of over 20 years experience in the financial services industry, having commenced his career in 1989. It was Darrens vision of being financially fit that became the genesis of Infocus. Together with his wife Stephanie, Darren founded the business on Queenslands Sunshine Coast.

As Managing Director, Darren has overall responsibility for the management of the Infocus Group, including but not limited to:

(a) day to day operations;
(b) strategic planning, development and management;
(c) financial management; and
(d) recruitment of key personnel.

Darren, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, has undertaken studies in finance, law and economics and holds a Masters Degree in Applied Finance.



Jim Currigan

Mr Jim Currigan CFP, Dip FP
Director

Jim commenced his career in the financial services industry in 1969. Having co-founded Paragon Securities in May 1999, Jims relationship with Infocus began when this financial planning business joined the Infocus Group in 2004.

Jim was invited to become a director of the Company in 2005. His knowledge and experience in the financial planning industry is invaluable to the Board. Jim holds postgraduate qualifications in financial planning, is a Certified Financial Planner and a practitioner member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.


Christine Loukopoulos

Christine Loukopoulos LLB BEc
Director

Christine is a qualified lawyer with over 10 years experience. She is currently Senior Legal Counsel at Aviva Australia and is responsible for managing the legal framework of Aviva Australias strategic investments and alliances.

Prior to joining Aviva Australia, Christine worked in leading Melbourne law firms practising in commercial and corporate law, particularly mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fundraising, commercial transactions and corporate governance.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics.
